What data does Verbal collect?
Verbal collects usage metadata: model, provider, token counts, cost estimates, and timestamps. Raw prompt content is not stored by default. You can enable prompt storage in Settings — when enabled, prompts are encrypted with per-user envelope encryption before being saved.
How do I connect my AI providers?
There are three ways: (1) Use the Verbal MCP Service for automatic tracking of Claude, API calls, and agent runs. (2) Install the Verbal browser extension to capture usage from ChatGPT, Claude.ai, and other web UIs. (3) Import your usage history via Settings > Import — we support Claude export files and ChatGPT data exports.
Is my prompt data stored?
Not by default. Verbal tracks metadata only (token counts, costs, model) unless you opt in to prompt storage. When you enable prompt storage, prompts are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM using per-user keys. You can delete all stored prompts at any time.
How does prompt scoring work?
Verbal analyzes each prompt across five dimensions: clarity, specificity, structure, efficiency, and context. Each dimension gets a sub-score (0–100) and you receive an overall score. The score reflects whether your prompt gave the model enough information to respond well on the first attempt, without unnecessary verbosity.
Can I export my data?
Yes. You can export all your usage data as CSV or JSON from Settings > Export. Your data is yours — we do not lock you in. You can also delete your account and all associated data at any time.
What is the difference between Free and Pro?
Free includes full usage tracking, prompt scoring, spend dashboards, and 14 days of retention history. Pro ($29/month or $278/year) adds longer retention, advanced coaching features, team benchmarks, and priority support. You can see a full comparison on the pricing page.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime from Settings > Billing. Your Pro access continues through the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months, but we will never charge you after cancellation.
Where can I report a bug?
Email support@getverbal.ai with as much detail as you can — what you were doing, what happened, and a screenshot if possible. For security vulnerabilities, use security@getverbal.ai instead. We take security reports seriously and respond within 48 hours.
