Our Mission

Make AI spend as visible and optimizable as any other business expense. If you can't measure it, you can't manage it — and right now, almost nobody is measuring their AI spend.

The Problem

AI spending has exploded — ChatGPT Pro, Claude Pro, Copilot, Cursor, API credits, agent infrastructure. The average developer is paying for four or five AI tools and has no idea what they're collectively spending or which ones are actually earning their keep.

It's 2026 and people are dropping $300/month on AI subscriptions the same way they used to forget about unused gym memberships. There's no unified view. No ROI tracking. No way to know if your prompts are good or just expensive.

Our Approach

Verbal is the Mint.com for AI spend. Mint showed people that tracking your bank accounts in one place would change how you spent money — not by lecturing you, but by making the data visible. The same is true for AI.

We track your usage across providers automatically, score the quality of your prompts, and surface what's working. Not dashboards for the sake of dashboards — actual insight you can act on.

What We Believe

• Transparency. We show you the real numbers — actual cost, actual token usage, actual prompt scores. No vanity metrics.
• Privacy-first. Your data is yours. Prompts are encrypted and automatically redacted for secrets before storage. We never sell your data. You control what gets captured — opt out of prompt storage any time.
• Actionable. Every number in Verbal should tell you something you can do. If it doesn't, we shouldn't be showing it.

Who We Are

Verbal is a small, scrappy team. We built this because we had the problem ourselves — too many AI subscriptions, no way to tell which ones mattered, and prompts that were more expensive than they needed to be.
